I couldn’t not tribute my weekly blog post to all the fabulous moms out there on Mother’s Day now could I?
So, here’s a shout out to all the moms that are permanently exhausted pigeons, rock the mom bun on a regular basis and love spending their days in pjs… you are the real bees knees ladies!!
I love Mother’s Day, not just because I’m a mother and I get treats but because I love how valued women are on this day. Although, it shouldn’t be limited to just one day. I love seeing the motherly love spread across all of social media, people vocalising the love they have for their role models in their life.
Motherhood is hard, there’s no doubt about it. Exhaustion is real and the worry that you’re not doing a good enough job never leaves. But, it is thee most amazing journey a woman can go on. All the sleepless nights are worth every second. I wouldn’t change my life as a mom for the world. Watching a tiny little that YOU made, learn new things and grow makes your heart feel things that I couldn’t even begin to put into words.
This time goes by so fast, too fast. I hear so many people say it and I can only keep it on repeat to value every second and every little milestone because they fly by so quickly. Tomorrow they will be a little older than they are today, hold them tight.
I feel so incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to grow and bring children of my own into the world and to have someone that teaches me how to love every single day.
So here’s to the mamas, the ones that are with us and the ones that no longer are. Embrace the days where you don’t think you’re doing a good job, believe me, they’ll come and KICK ASS when they do. Because you, yes you, are doing theeee most amazing job and you’re doing it the best way you know how! Remember, that bad days are okay. You can be a mess and still be a good mom, you’re allowed to be both. Break out of this ‘perfect mom’ label because there is no list of what makes a mom perfect. Just like life, motherhood doesn’t come with a manual. Just keep doing you!
Happy Mother’s Day to all, sending lots of love from one mama to another ♡♡♡♡
