Hiiii everyone 🙋Hope you’re all having the most amazing weekend. Mine has been pretty much perfect. Spent with family and friends, what could be better!?
Its a regular thing in the Baldwin household that when Sunday afternoon comes around and we’re at home, we have snuggles and a little cheeky nap. I can’t even begin to tell you how good it is for the soul to take a time out each week!! Today, when I woke up from theeee most luscious of all naps, Esmé was lay fast asleep in my arms (what is it about babies sleeping, my ovaries burst EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.), Chris on the other side of the sofa snoozing, which is a rarity in itself and I couldn’t help but smile at how blessed I am. Blessed in the fact that my baby actually naps during the day AND gives me endless amounts of snuggles. But mostly, blessed in the fact of how many amazing things AND opportunities I have in my life that I take for granted on a day to day basis.
You know those times where you have a moment to sit and reflect on life? This was one of those moments. Too often, I pick up on the negatives, instead of appreciating the every day joys of life. So from here on out I have made a promise to myself to try and see the good through the bad. Why don’t you try it with me? A happy life is mostly made by the choices we make so why not choose to be happy? I’m sure it’ll help, 100%. Am I right?! So, instead of moaning that something else has gone wrong with the house I am going to appreciate the fact that I even have a house to call my own and it’s a beautiful one at that. Instead of dreading having to work in a job I don’t particularly enjoy anymore I’m going to take advantage of being able to make a difference in people’s lives while I have the chance and so on.
My challenge, join me if you wish is to everyday take note of just one blessing/joy/achievement and thrive on that. Because what’s life if you’re not happy? We get this shot to fulfill our dreams and live every second to the fullest and I am going to 100% try my very best to do that. Who’s with me?
